Like Buses

 The Brothers Grimm

After waiting six months to finish one of Thorin's dwarves. I managed to get two done in one week. Now with Ori out of the way I can get onto more interesting characters. At this rate I might actually finish the set before 2024.

The Mighty Wolfhounds of the Wood Elves

I had originally thought I would mount the hounds on 25mm bases and then they arrived...

The hounds from Alternative Armies are much more imposing than the puny ones from Citadel.

  1. As said several times, the GW miniatures of "The Hobbit" inspired by the film do not drive us crazy. However, it seems to us that your dwarves make a good impression when grouped together. Did you follow the colours of the film for clothes and equipment or did you take some license?
Although very impressive, we like AA's Irish wolfhounds very much: evidently the elves have selected large and robust specimens to help them in the war against the forces of chaos ...

    2. The have taken the colours from the film as a guide but haven't copied them directly.

  2. Rob, I both love the paintjobs and the way you're staging them. Both have an authentic Tolkien feel to them.
Good luck on getting the project finished!
