When You Find a Troll...

Look for a Troll Hoard or a Tale of Two Trolls

So, after finishing off the Elf & Fae armies for Midgard, attention turned to the evil armies. And I found myself with two classic trolls on the paint bench. With a decision to repaint or not to repaint.

Tidy enough for the table top again.

Never been keen on this paint job

And it seems quite a fine line for me as to if I repaint a mini or not. It’s not that I think the giant hill troll is particularly well painted, but he does represent my skill way back in 2021. Although it didn't stop me giving him a quick tidy up, a new base, and a repair job on the glaive. However, I think he still looks good on the tabletop. Which is probably why he escaped a repaint.

That's better!

However with the classic C20 troll 'Shakined Bone Blender', it was a pretty easy decision as I have never been happy with the first repaint (this is already the second time I have painted this mini) and I decided to give him another go. Overall I am much happier with the third go and now he is ready to join the other C20 trolls as part of a Midgard detachment.

Trolls on a Friday night looking for trouble!

Anyway after repainting up one of the trolls and just finishing the new relics set from Victrix. It seemed obvious to put them together....

As every troll needs a hoard.

One troll hoard minus the troll.

A troll and all his splendour

And as it is Friday
